At Corrimal SLSC, we create a fun, safe environment where kids learn surf safety, build confidence in the ocean, earn Surf Life Saving awards and get to compete at surf carnivals if they choose.

Nippers is about much more than just the beach — it’s an experience for the whole family. Kids learn vital beach and water skills, make new friends, and enjoy the unique club spirit that comes with belonging to Corrimal SLSC.

And parents aren’t left out! Many gain valuable knowledge themselves, become involved as Age Managers or helpers, and discover the personal satisfaction that comes from being part of a welcoming community.

Nippers is the perfect place to start. It’s open to kids from 5 to 13 years old and is all about growing their confidence, knowledge and skills in the beach environment. Your child will have a blast, make great friends, and become part of an iconic Australian tradition that’s been serving communities for over 100 years.

The juniors of today are the future of surf life saving, a truth not lost on the thousands of Age Managers and volunteers who support Nippers every summer. Every surf club around Australia offers Nippers, each with its own unique style and programs.

Nippers isn’t just fun — it’s also educational. Through the SLSA Junior Development Program, kids learn lifesaving and sport skills in structured lessons designed to set them up for the future. We like to call it ‘Serious Fun’.
