A few things for the weekend ahead:
1. Appeals week finishes on Saturday and collections and buckets need to be brought back to the surf club on Sunday. A big thank you for the time and effort put into this.
2. U7s are on the BBQ this Sunday.
3.We are still looking for two more March Past Team members … we will be defending our title at Branch and junior Carnivals on Feb 6 and 13 … so we need a full team to compete. If you are U10 or above and would like to help us out, please see Lisa.
4. If it’s pouring rain or bad weather on a Sunday, for some Age groups there is still education. Please check our website or add your name to our Facebook page to see the latest updates on what we are doing. Lots of times people assume there is no Nippers and even though there is a little rain, the conditions may be perfect for the kids in the ocean to practice boards for a bit or complete education for their awards.
5. Sydney Water carnival is on this Saturday. We wish all our Nippers good luck. Go Corrimal!!
6. We are looking for anyone who would like to be an official at carnivals or water safety for our Nippers to come and let us know. The problem we are having is that there has to be one official for every five Nippers going to a carnival … parents of competing Nippers, please consider this because it may be that some kids may not be able to compete due to a lack of officials. I never want that to happen. The official course is paid for by the club and is done over a weekend … it’s pretty straightforward.
7. Anyone wanting to complete their bronze medallion, please put your name on the whiteboard inside the clubhouse.
