Nippers News

SandpipersHi there Nippers and families,

What a great start to the nippers season … thank you everyone who pitched in and helped with set up, pack away, BBQ, Age Managing, proficiencies, uniforms and registration. It was lovely to see that people aren’t shy to lend a hand.

This week we have:

1. U11 & 12’s week to help with the BBQ please.

2. March past team please meet at the Surf Club at 8.30am. At this stage we need 3 more marchers to make our team as a couple of people will be away for the carnivals. If you would like to be part of our very successful team, please come down to the beach or see me at Nippers on Sunday.

3. This Sunday is Open Day, and there may be visitors showing up to see our club. If anyone approaches you, please take them down to see Glenn Staple, patrol captain.

4. Starting this week we are handing out street maps and buckets for our annual Collection Week. This is our major fundraising that keeps our club going for the year. It’s only one or two streets per family. Please grab a map and help us raise the funds to keep our club going. Collection dates are Saturday 31st October to Saturday 7th November. Wear anything that shows you are from Corrimal Surf Club.

5. There is an Officials course running on the 31st October and 1st November. This is to help out at carnivals.

6. On the same dates, Port Kembla is running an SRC water safety and/or Bronze Medallion Course. If you are interested please give your name and number to me this Sunday. I will be going as well.

Thanks again for your time … we will see you on the beach this Sunday …

Cheers, Lisa
