President’s Message

clean up!Reminder & time for a bit of a whinge:

Standards of care seem to be generally slipping with respect to the Club facilities & equipment.

I continue to be disgusted with the state that the male & female toilets are being left in – it’s not hard to use the toilet brushes that are supplied in each cubicle, throw used toilet paper boxes in the bin or supervise your children & clean up after them.

Rubbish needs to picked up in the gym, change rooms & equipment rooms & disposed of. There is a bin near the front door & 2 near the car park. For gym users, if you see that the bin is full, take it downstairs & empty it.

Damage to any equipment, regardless of how it was caused, needs to be reported – damage or problems associated with our radios, powercraft (IRB & ATV) & fuel levels in the jerry cans need to be reported to Todd & damage to any other equipment needs to be reported to Fuji or Jordan. Some of the damage that we are seeing e.g. the waterproof radio bags, the patrol shade, rescue boards, etc. is being caused by neglect. Repairs & replacement is expensive & places the damaged equipment out of action for a period of time.

TIme for a bit of a rethink on how we do things. Main message – treat the club & our facilities & equipment like you own them!
